Clinical Director, Porterville Developmental Center Position

Job Summary

The Clinical Director at Porterville Developmental Center is responsible for overseeing all clinical services programs, support services, and education and employment services. This role collaborates with the Executive Director, Administrative Services Director, and Medical Director to define and achieve facility long- and short-term goals. The Clinical Director also assists the Executive Director as a member of the Porterville Developmental Center's Governing and Executive Body in formulating overall policy for the Facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all clinical services programs, support services, and education and employment services.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Administrative Services Director, and Medical Director to define and achieve facility long- and short-term goals.
  • Assist the Executive Director as a member of the Porterville Developmental Center's Governing and Executive Body in formulating overall policy for the Facility.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative and harmonious relationships with department and regional center staff, the public, and others.
  • Work with professional personnel in the field relating to coordinating and developing services for persons with developmental needs.
Requirements
  • Must possess knowledge of The Lanterman Act, developmental disabilities, the regional center service system, and processes and protocols in California state government.
  • Must have the ability to supervise and train subordinate staff.
  • Must have the ability to develop and maintain cooperative and harmonious relationships with department and regional center staff, the public, and others.
  • Must have the ability to work with professional personnel in the field relating to coordinating and developing services for persons with developmental needs.
