Role Overview:
The Corporate Expense Financial Consultant will play a pivotal role within the Corporate Expense division of our Finance department, reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Expense. This position is essential for providing comprehensive expense planning and analytical support across various corporate functions such as Marketing, Human Resources, and Legal, which in turn support all business lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly financial reporting and analysis, including regular meetings with stakeholders to deliver business insights and strategic guidance.
- Ensure precise accounting of expenses, including appropriate cost allocations and reserves.
- Collaborate with business partners to create multi-year financial forecasts that incorporate diverse cost drivers.
- Develop insightful analyses, including operational metrics and trends, along with forward-looking commentary for monthly financial reports covering both managed and allocated expenses.
Strategic Partnership:
- Act as a thought partner by recommending solutions and facilitating informed business decisions, guiding stakeholders towards effective outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in finance or accounting is required.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential; experience with TM1 is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial results to various management levels.
- A self-starter with a performance-driven mindset, capable of managing competing priorities effectively.
- Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with business partners and fellow expense team members.
Compensation Overview:
The annualized base salary range for this position is based on an analysis of comparable roles in the market. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as performance and demonstrated competencies required for the role. The base salary is just one aspect of CFA Institute's comprehensive compensation package, which may also include bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition programs.
