About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation's Advanced Technology Laboratories. As a Research Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing software and hardware systems for advanced technology applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software and hardware systems for advanced technology applications
  • Develop and test software and hardware prototypes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software and hardware systems
  • Conduct research and development to advance the state-of-the-art in electrical and computer systems
  • Participate in the development of technical proposals and reports
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in software and/or embedded design, development, and testing
  • Working proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python
  • Good team working and collaboration skills
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance to at least the Secret level
Desired Skills
  • Awareness of customer mission areas: Electronic Warfare (EW), RF signal intercept, RF geolocation technologies, Electronic Support Measures (ESM), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)
  • Digital signal processing for software and/or FPGA fabric
  • Linux system administration experience (Ubuntu and/or RedHat preferred)
