Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Market Systems Engineer to join our team at MISO. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our Energy and Ancillary Services market system software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and troubleshoot market outcomes and customer questions
  • Carry out core business engineering initiatives related to the Energy and Ancillary Services Market
  • Develop new system enhancements and market products
  • Work on major projects such as Day Ahead & Real Time Market Clearing Engine Re-design, Multi-Configuration Resources, Distributed Energy Resources, and FERC Order 881 on Ambient Adjusted Rating
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology
  • At least two years of utility, transmission operations, real-time operations, or related experience
  • Market system applications, EMS applications, models development, software testing, or operational support experience preferred
