Payroll Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team at Brown & Riding. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating various duties related to payroll, including processing payroll and timesheets, maintaining accurate attendance files, and resolving payroll discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll and timesheets each pay period, creating monthly payroll reports for the Accounting department.
- Maintain accurate attendance files for all employees, reconciling Vacation, Sick, and Other requests with timesheets and attendance records.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Calculate payroll liabilities, including employee taxes and employer payments for social security, unemployment, and worker's compensation.
- Process and issue W-2 forms and 1095-C's for employees.
- Calculate checks per the Human Resources and Accounting department's request.
- Process quarterly and year-end payroll filings.
- Create and upload company 401(k) transaction excel sheets to the vendor.
- Provide secondary back-up support for the Receptionist during daily breaks and lunch, as well as handling Vacation/Sick requests.
- Exceptional organization, follow-up, communication, management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Intuitive and proactive approach to business problems and solutions.
- Good listening skills and a willingness to help and support others.
- One to two years of administrative experience supporting senior-level management with an emphasis on payroll.
- Advanced skill level in PC software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to be flexible in work schedule as needed.
- Physical activities of the job are within the normal expectations of an office environment.
- Vision requirements are in the normal range, correctible with glasses or contacts.
- Working environment is generally within the confines of an office, with some daily travel possible.
- Risk of exposure to hazardous materials, electrical shock, explosives, radiation, vibration, or airborne particles is at the extreme minimum.
$52,000 to $55,000 annually
