Job Description


At Select Physical Therapy, we prioritize providing an outstanding experience for our patients from the moment they arrive.

As a healthcare customer service representative, you will play a crucial role in managing both patient interactions and administrative tasks.

Your station at the front desk will serve as a hub for patient advocacy, where you will communicate with individuals through various channels, oversee patient payments, and navigate multiple software systems.

Your contributions will significantly enhance each patient's experience, even before they enter the treatment area.

Compensation starting at $17.00/hour, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:
We are in search of candidates who are adaptable, patient-focused, excellent communicators, detail-oriented, and collaborative team members.

In this role, typical responsibilities include:
Welcoming new and returning patients as they arrive, registering new patients, and providing essential information about their visit

Coordinating patient appointments both in-person and via phone

Maintaining regular communication with various stakeholders, including attorney offices, insurance providers, translation services, operational leaders, and business development teams

Collecting co-payments from patients, managing payer approvals, and executing insurance authorizations and verifications

Providing patients with necessary information regarding their upcoming appointments during checkout

Addressing inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues


Qualifications:

Minimum

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a workday

Manual dexterity sufficient for typing (including 10-key) throughout a workday

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs safely from ground to waist using proper body mechanics

Ability to carry office supplies weighing up to 10 lbs

Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient for maintaining accurate records, recognizing individuals, and understanding written instructions

Ability to communicate effectively to understand and provide directions
