Position Overview

The Assessment Nurse (RN) will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to our residents. This role operates on an hourly basis and reports directly to the Director of Health and Wellness.

Work Schedule: Per-diem

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough resident assessments in accordance with current state regulations and community policies.
  • Oversee the health, safety, and overall well-being of all residents.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of medication administration protocols.
  • Ensure clinical quality assurance aligns with federal, state, and local standards.
  • Uphold the highest standards of service for our residents while embodying the mission of Monarch Communities.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a valid RN license.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or hospital settings is preferred.
  • Experience working with residents diagnosed with Alzheimer's or related dementias is advantageous.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations, as well as nursing practices, techniques, and methods related to health and wellness.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the capacity to learn new software applications.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, and using fine and gross motor skills. The role may involve lifting or carrying weights up to 50 lbs, with intermittent physical activity related to resident support.
