Job Description

Job Title: Lead Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Registered Nurse to join our team at Surgical Care Affiliates. As a Lead Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting a nursing staff, while also providing patient care and acting as an educational resource for nurses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a nursing staff in the operating room
  • Provide patient care and act as an educational resource for nurses
  • Manage and supervise the work of the Staff Nurses
  • Develop and implement training courses and organize needs assessment to help educate and train new nurses and staff
  • Perform administrative duties including creating schedules, maintaining adequate supplies and informing staff of changes to protocol
  • Circulate a surgical room and provide guidance on administering care to new patients or those with special needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the State required
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required
  • PALS/ACLS (this can be obtained)

Working Conditions:

The Lead Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced operating room environment and will be required to be flexible and able to prioritize and adapt during emergencies.
