Job Summary:
The Sous Chef Manager is a key member of the Eataly Net USA, LLC team, responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality, authentic Italian dishes in one of our exciting, high-volume, open kitchen restaurants. This role reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine and manages the kitchen staff, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of menu items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the preparation and presentation of menu items, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage and motivate the kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to develop and implement new menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage supplies, and optimize kitchen operations to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent culinary skills, with a deep understanding of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
