Executive Chef Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Porter House Bar and Grill.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including lunch and dinner service, private banquets, and training and working with the line cooks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality food and beverages
- Manage kitchen inventory and ordering
- Train and supervise line cooks
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop menus and recipes
Requirements:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience in a fine dining or high-volume production kitchen
- Prior NYC experience preferred
- Prior line or entry-level sous chef experience required
