Position Overview
Job Summary:
We are in search of a skilled and motivated Permanent Employment Litigation Associate to enhance our legal team.
This position presents a unique opportunity to manage intricate employment litigation cases, delivering expert legal guidance and support to our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of employment law and a successful history of overseeing litigation from inception to resolution.
This role demands superior abilities in drafting, updating employee handbooks, and presenting motions in both state and federal courts.Key Responsibilities:
As an Employment Litigation Associate, your duties will encompass:
- Managing diverse employment litigation cases, including wrongful termination, discrimination, and wage and hour claims.
- Effectively responding to legal pleadings and overseeing discovery processes.
- Drafting and updating employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws.
- Arguing motions and advocating for clients in state and federal courts.
- Providing expert legal counsel on labor and employment issues to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborating with colleagues to devise strategies for litigation and conflict resolution.
- Staying informed on changes in employment law and advising clients accordingly.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution, with outstanding academic achievements.
- Admission to the California Bar.
- A minimum of 3-7 years of experience in employment litigation.
- Demonstrated expertise in responding to pleadings and managing discovery.
- Proven ability to handle litigation from start to finish.
- Strong experience in drafting and updating employee handbooks.
- Experience arguing motions in both state and federal courts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of labor and employment law.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
