Facility Cleaning Specialist

Position Overview:
This role is designated for a facility under the Air Combat Command. The position is flexible, offering variable hours that can range from 0 to 40 hours weekly.
Applicants must possess the physical capability to frequently lift and empty waste receptacles, as well as push carts exceeding 50 pounds, loaded with soiled linens or refuse. Additionally, the role requires the ability to occasionally lift and transport items weighing up to 20 pounds.
Continuous standing, stooping, and reaching for extended periods are essential.Key Responsibilities:
The primary function of this position is to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of lodging facilities for transient personnel and their families. Duties include:
- Cleaning guest accommodations, hallways, staircases, and other designated areas.
- Performing a variety of straightforward cleaning tasks associated with lodging operations.
Eligibility and Requirements:
This position is open to all applicants. Candidates will be assessed based on their preferences and eligibility criteria.
Eligibility will be determined through the questionnaire, and proof must be submitted with the application. Categories include: Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference.
To qualify, candidates must meet the experience criteria outlined below.
Experience encompasses both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs and other organizations.
All relevant experience, including volunteer work, will be credited. Resumes must clearly articulate relevant experience; if education is a qualifying factor, transcripts will be required.
Experience Requirements:
No prior experience or training is necessary.
Candidates must be able to follow simple oral and written instructions and utilize hand or lightweight powered cleaning tools.
Evaluation will be based on competency in the following areas:
Education:
Some federal positions allow education to substitute for required experience; however, this position does not permit such substitution.
Additional Information:
Applicants must meet all qualification, eligibility, and background requirements. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three or more consecutive years prior to federal affiliation are eligible. Male applicants born after a certain date must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is mandatory.
Successful completion of an employment verification check is required. A probationary period may be necessary, and pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met before starting.
This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) position supporting Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities.
