Job Title: NM - Radiology Tech - Days

Job Summary:
As a Radiology Technologist at HexaQuEST Health, Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care in a radiology environment. Your primary responsibility will be to perform all aspects of patient care, optimizing patient safety with minimal medical/healthcare errors. You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure compliance with patient care quality standards, catering to patients of all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote the organization's mission, vision, and values by providing exceptional patient care and service.
  • Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining equipment inventories.
  • Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, and expediting orders.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by staying updated on legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions.
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a degree or certificate in Radiology.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.

Working Conditions:
This position requires working irregular hours, including call hours, in a physically demanding and high-stress environment. You will be exposed to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions. You will need to push and pull heavy objects, handle and lift patients, and maintain a full range of body motion.
