Radiology Tech Job Summary

At Roosevelt General Hospital and Clinics, we are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team. As a Radiology Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety in our radiology environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all aspects of patient care in a radiology environment, prioritizing patient safety and minimizing medical/healthcare errors.
  • Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards, catering to patients of all ages.
  • Operate radiology equipment, completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining equipment inventories.
  • Maintain radiology supplies inventory, anticipating needs, and expediting orders.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, staying up-to-date on legislation and regulations.
  • Stay current with professional and technical knowledge, attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures, positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and using radiation protection techniques.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Document patient care services, charting in patient and department records.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a degree or certificate in Radiology.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of radiology technology services.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and maintain a positive attitude.
