Role Purpose:
Nucor Rebar Fabrication is seeking a Division Support Administrator to provide essential administrative assistance at a fundamental operational level across various critical support functions vital for branch operations, including payroll management and basic accounting/bookkeeping support.
Safety is paramount in all roles at Nucor; therefore, candidates must demonstrate the capability to initiate, lead, and maintain safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance with telephone inquiries and general office administrative tasks.
• Oversee, process, and analyze weekly payroll for union employees.
• Maintain strict confidentiality concerning payroll matters.
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage projects and manage the filing of certified payrolls.
• Support the maintenance of record-keeping, including safety and workers' compensation documentation.
• Aid sales and estimating teams in preparing sales bids and project quotations.
• Cultivate exceptional working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with basic accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• High school diploma, GED, or local/state equivalent.
• Prior experience in payroll processing.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate degree from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience in the construction sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with mathematical proficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and working under deadline pressure.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Additional Information:
• Physical demands include walking, sitting, standing, and bending.
• Some lifting and handling of computers and related equipment may be required.
• Vision abilities including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Background and drug testing are required upon hire.
