Position Overview:

The Customer Technical Support Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting Navy program offices with the operational and logistical aspects of the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI). This position involves coordinating with service providers to ensure timely delivery of technical services and maintaining an organized inventory of assets and software updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive technical support for NMCI, including user account management, troubleshooting, and account deactivation.
  • Facilitate the ordering, delivery, and tracking of necessary equipment.
  • Process Move, Add, and Change (MAC) requests to adjust user settings, update Global Address List (GAL) entries, and manage software licenses.
  • Support the Program Office in Knowledge Management initiatives to effectively organize and maintain file sharing systems.
  • Assist in mapping printers and network drives, ensuring seamless connectivity for users.
  • Utilize tools such as .NET, Service Request eForms, SReForms, and Active Directory to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical support role.
  • Proficient in standard NMCI technical support processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in System Administration and Knowledge Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
