About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist 2 to join our team at Vets Hired. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers and internal personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect customer technical support for GenMark products via phone, email, and remote access.
  • Handle customer complaints, including receiving, logging, investigating, resolving, and tracking/trending.
  • Train customers and internal personnel on product usage and technical procedures.
  • Aid in the commercialization of new products and improve technical support processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with sales, molecular application specialists, and marketing teams as required.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree (or equivalent military training) required.
  • BS degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to relay information succinctly and accurately.
  • Ability to positively negotiate with and defuse irate customers.
