At RQ Construction, we are seeking experienced candidates for the role of Senior Mechanical Construction Manager (SMCM) to enhance our expanding Mechanical division.
The SMCM will oversee the daily management, guidance, and coordination of all mechanical construction operations, including mechanical supervisors and subcontractors on-site. The primary goal is to ensure the delivery of high-quality work while adhering to project specifications, budget constraints, and timelines, all in alignment with RQ's core Mission, Vision, and Values.
This role may also involve supporting the Pre-Construction Manager with additional tasks as necessary. We prioritize local candidates, though relocation options are available. On-site project management at various locations will be a requirement for this position.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Preferred coursework includes project management, construction management, mechanical trade education, BIM, and CADD.
Applicants should possess a minimum of five years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, managing multiple projects with mechanical scopes exceeding $5,000,000 (in commercial or industrial sectors).
Five or more years of relevant field or trade experience with mechanical systems is highly desirable, particularly in government, military, or large-scale commercial construction environments. Experience in the design-build sector is also preferred.
Proficiency in computer applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Primavera P6) is preferred, although training can be provided. Familiarity with specific software (BIM) is advantageous, with training available as needed.
Travel to job sites is an essential aspect of this role.
