Mechanical Preconstruction Project Manager Position

RQ Construction, LLC. is a leading player in Southern California's robust commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. With a national and international presence, we offer management of projects throughout the United States. Our field operations' team members work on location for each of our projects, specializing in fast-track projects in new commercial construction with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Preconstruction Project Manager (MPPM) to join our Mechanical Preconstruction team located in Jacksonville, FL, supporting work being installed on the East Coast. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direction and coordination of all mechanical preconstruction activities to produce quality work, within project requirements, targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. This position may also assist the Mechanical Department Leader as required with other scopes of work.

- Ensure projects are completed within project requirements, targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values
- Assist the Mechanical Department Leader as required with other scopes of work
Requirements
- A BA/BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is the minimum formal education required for this position
- A combined total of 10+ years in the mechanical industry with 5 or more years work experience as a mechanical Project Manager / Preconstruction
- Experience creating conceptual estimates and managing design for mechanical and plumbing systems highly desirable
- Work in the design-build government, military, or large commercial construction industry is preferred
