Job Description:
High school diploma or a technical vocational diploma; 3+ years of experience, including at least 1 year of experience aboard vessels.

Responsible for the repair, installation, replacement, and testing of electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances.
Experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of naval or marine electrical, mechanical, or hull systems is highly preferred, including:
Repairing, installing, replacing, and testing electrical circuits, cables, equipment, and connectors.
Utilizing hand tools and testing instruments.
Inspecting and testing electrical devices, lighting, signaling, communication, and power circuits.
Identifying faults in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical apparatus using both general and specialized testing tools.
Replacing defective switches, sockets, and other components of electrical systems.
Dismantling electrical machinery and substituting faulty electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
Positioning motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and completing circuits according to schematic specifications.
Working from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Executing all tasks in compliance with established safety protocols.
Participating in special projects as necessary.
Must be able to obtain all required badges (DBIDS and shipyard).

Capable of working on and climbing ladders, functioning in extreme temperature conditions, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial circumstances, and in confined spaces.

Performing additional duties as assigned.
Must be able to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment and boxes weighing up to 75 lbs.
Travel (within and outside of the continental United States) may be required for 20% of the time.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is approximately $31.86. However, this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and potentially contractual obligations, and may fall outside of this range.
