Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Safety Support Lead to join our team at the City of Muskogee. The successful candidate will provide technical support to public safety employees, manage the deployment of mobile data terminals and cellular modems, and troubleshoot issues with software and hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier-1 support to public safety employees, prioritizing police, fire, and emergency management personnel.
  • Manage the deployment of mobile data terminals and cellular modems in police cars.
  • Troubleshoot issues with software and hardware, including Tyler New World, Firehouse, Tyler Incode, Central Square, Lexipol, Brazos, Frontline, Flock, and other applications used by City employees.
  • Support the maintenance of website sections for public safety.
  • Provide hardware and software support for workstations, printers, and other equipment.
  • Work closely with the 911 Center to troubleshoot issues with Brazos, Tyler New World, and Tyler Incode software.
  • Perform limited computer repair and operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems.
  • Record and broadcast City Council, Public Works, and other meetings as needed.
  • May be required to work on-call and travel to other City locations.
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a technical or database support position.
  • Preference given to applicants with experience using and/or supporting public safety applications and/or Central Square Naviline applications.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Ability to work well with others and maintain the flow of information vital to public safety.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
Working Environment

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires occasional night and weekend work, as well as the ability to work on-call. The successful candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.
