Job Summary

The Patient Transport Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of non-emergent patients at Midtown Health Center Inc. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Transportation Services: Safely transport patients to and from Midtown Health Center clinics via van service, ensuring proper identification and assistance as needed.
  2. Patient Support: Greet and assist patients and visitors at clinics, providing a welcoming and supportive environment.
  3. Logistics and Supply Chain: Transport supplies and equipment to assigned locations, assist in stocking rooms, and maintain a clean and organized van.
  4. Communication and Teamwork: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, co-workers, and the public, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  5. Confidentiality and Compliance: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and comply with all occupational safety and health standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED preferred, one year of related work experience preferred.
  • Licensure and Certification: Valid driver's license and ability to utilize own transportation for work purposes.
  • Physical and Environmental Demands: Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties, including sitting or standing for extended periods.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a smoke-free and drug-free work environment, with varied and extended hour scheduling as requested.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
