Job Summary:

Lifespace Communities is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Harbour's Edge, a CCRC community in Delray Beach. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional culinary experiences to residents and guests by serving beverages in a prompt and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve bar beverages, including cocktails, spirits, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Control the mixing and pouring of beverages, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Provide resident and guest engagement, building relationships and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Achieve accurate transactions in the point of sales system.
  • Administer proper storing techniques for beverages, supplies, equipment, and inventory.
  • Organize the bar, maintain inventory par levels, track inventory, and supplies needed for operation.
  • Enhance work station safety and sanitary conditions, including cleaning tables, chairs, and food service equipment and utensils.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, and maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Obtain knowledge and demonstrate the principles of Living Lifespace, person-directed care, and successful aging philosophies, and their inherent core values of commitment, respect, compassion, dedication, teamwork, and quality.
  • Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with the principles of the Living Lifespace service culture and be familiar with and fluent in the language and service pillars of Living Lifespace.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience as a bartender in a hotel or restaurant preferred.
  • Certification as a bartender preferred.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Experience in prior food industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of creating mixed drinks and ingredients and measurements.
  • Knowledge in proper serving techniques, familiar with items offered on the menus, as well as special diet needs.
  • Knowledge of the community's food and beverage specifications.
  • Solid time management skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of point of sale system.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
  • Active listening skills, giving full attention to residents and guests.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with residents and guests.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors, and team members.
