Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Highmark Health. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and structure of our patients, observing and recording patient information, and reporting to appropriate staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to provide ongoing assessments of patient status and gather pertinent patient care data.
  • Organize patient care tasks according to priority and importance.
  • Obtain vital signs and height and weight measurements, and provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Report any changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff and suggest modifications to the master treatment plan.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or one to two years of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • Non-violent crisis intervention certification within six months of hire.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of mental health or clinical experience.
