Compensation: $19/hr - $21/hr

SectionStarTM:

SectionStarTM is a groundbreaking automated system designed for histology laboratories. It enables trained personnel to section cell and tissue samples and transfer those sections to glass slides for pathologists to review.

Role Summary:

The Assembly Technician will work on medical device development and integration as part of a tight-knit team. This role is multi-disciplinary, with responsibility for assembling consumable subassemblies and supporting 3-D printing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly: Assemble parts and components according to specifications from work instructions.
  • Preparation: Prepare work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on assembled parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.
  • Post-processing: Post-process 3-D printed parts after printing by cleaning, trimming, sanding, or applying other finishing techniques.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, other team members, and supervisors to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to product assembly.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform additional assembly tasks and pitch in on the manufacturing floor as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Reading and Interpretation: Ability to read, interpret, and follow internal work instructions and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Tools: Familiarity with basic tools used in production processes.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
