Job Description

Forward Thinking Designs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Creator - Design & Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the engineering efforts of audio, video, lighting, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Engineering: Design and engineer technical systems, including audio, video, lighting, and control systems, to meet the needs of our clients.
  • System Development: Develop and implement system designs, including CAD drawings and other documents, to ensure safe, efficient, and functional systems.
  • Project Support: Provide engineering support to sales, fabrication, and integration teams to resolve issues and verify system performance.
  • Commissioning and Training: Participate in commissioning of technical systems and assist in handover and training efforts.
  • Team Collaboration: Work in a team environment on multiple projects under the direction of a Lead Engineer, Project Manager, and/or Engineering Manager.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5 or more years of experience in the engineering of audio/video/control systems in the entertainment industry.
  • Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Windows-based PC environment, including MS Office. Familiarity with current products and trends in the AV industry.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to form and keep project teams motivated.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
