Position SummaryThe Billing Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Central Billing and Accounting departments. This position requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to attorneys and clients by becoming an expert in all billing-related matters.
The specialist will act as a bridge between assigned attorneys and the Billing Department, necessitating flexibility and a strong dedication to quality to foster excellent working relationships with partners and support staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a high volume of billing tasks while collaborating with team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of billing matters to identify and resolve complex discrepancies.
- Minimum of 3 years of billing experience, preferably in a legal or law firm setting.
- Proficiency in CMS Aderant or Elite billing software is required; familiarity with all CMS Aderant applications is preferred.
- Strong technology skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel.
- A college degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
- Proactive approach to completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to contribute innovative ideas for process improvements.
- Exceptional written communication skills and a professional demeanor on the phone.
- Comfortable interacting with all organizational levels, including senior executives and attorneys.
- Strong attention to detail and capability to work under pressure to meet individual and team objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines and delegate effectively.
- Ownership mentality and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
