Medical Assistant Leadership Position

Community Health Centers of Burlington is seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our medical assistants at our assigned sites. This leadership role involves providing guidance, mentoring, and training to medical assistant staff, as well as collaborating with the site's triad leadership team and serving as a liaison between clinical and operational leadership. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical ambulatory setting and demonstrated experience in leading projects and initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of high school diploma required; Associates degree in healthcare related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a clinical ambulatory setting with demonstrated experience in leading projects and initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience as a trainer or experience in a leadership or supervisory experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, facilitate group meetings and present information visually and verbally
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage day-to-day staffing and personnel issues including recruitment, supervision, performance management
  • Ability to motivate, develop and direct staff to promote a strong cohesive team
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to be a leader among the clinical staff in regard to quality patient care, documentation, customer service
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Medical Assistant experience preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a primary care or ambulatory care clinic
  • Valid driver's license
  • CPR certification
