Job Summary:

The University of Vermont Medical Center seeks a skilled Patient Support Orderly to provide exceptional patient care and support services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting nursing and testing units with patient-related activities, including transportation, lifting, and setting up equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist with lifting and transferring patients as needed
  • Set up and maintain equipment, including ECG machines and traction devices
  • Provide support during emergencies, such as Code Blue and Code 8
  • Ensure equipment is properly assembled, cleaned, and maintained

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • CPR and AED training/certification (training will be scheduled within the first 60 days)
  • Previous patient care experience preferred
