Job Title: Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is a key member of our store team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our retail store. This role involves overseeing various operational tasks, managing promotions, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service.
  • Oversee promotions and ensure signage is displayed correctly.
  • Complete pulls and markdowns, and monitor layaway procedures.
  • Answer internal and external phone lines, and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Lead onboarding and selection activities, including monitoring hiring dashboards and completing onboarding with new teammates.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) software.
  • Understand and execute all policies regarding payments, exchanges, and Loss Prevention practices.
  • Report discrepancies through Inventory Manager, and maintain all shipment-related paperwork.
  • Monitor and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
  • Make shipping labels for packages, and sort packages by required shipment transit time.
  • Complete special orders, and handle all maintenance issues in the store.
  • Communicate policy violations to Store Manager, District Manager, and/or Human Resources in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Provide feedback to Store Manager regarding merchandise handling concerns.
  • Understand and apply Buckle's Code of Ethics and all of Buckle's policies, procedures, and handbooks.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older due to the nature of the job.

Work Environment:

The Operations Manager will work in a retail store setting, with a moderate noise level. The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, and talking or hearing.
