Position Summary: The Duty Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing service delivery and operational management within the general aviation sector. This position involves executing leadership responsibilities either directly or through subordinate supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily leadership and guidance to ensure consistent, safe, and reliable operations.
  • Direct all service deliveries and implement service recovery measures as needed.
  • Engage with customers on various matters, including tenant relations and transient sales.
  • Conduct shift briefings with subordinate supervisors and team members.
  • Align base shift scheduling with customer demand.
  • Act as a liaison for the company within the airport community.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding customer service standards, safety, and security.
  • Assist customers with hotel bookings, ground transportation, catering, and other services.
  • Foster a safety-oriented culture through daily observations, routine audits, and documented safety procedures.
  • Encourage customer loyalty by enhancing employee engagement.
  • Maintain vendor relationships.
  • Oversee ground support equipment and facility maintenance operations.
  • Conduct investigations into accidents to identify root causes and manage reporting.
  • Administer the Computer Based Training program and on-the-job training as required.
  • Supervise fuel quality control activities.
  • Perform leadership tasks such as conducting annual reviews and managing direct reports' performance.
  • Handle time and attendance administration and onboarding of new employees.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: This role may require performing tasks in varying weather and environmental conditions, including exposure to jet engine fumes, dust, and noise. The individual must possess the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Read, write, and fluently communicate in English.
  • Analyze and interpret business documents and technical instructions.
  • Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Effectively present information to groups.
  • Participate in the budgeting process and monitor expenses and inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of business management and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and personal computer applications.
