Senior Data Science Leader

As a Senior Data Science Leader at Cedent Consulting, you will be responsible for leading large-scale data science projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a quantitative field and 7+ years of data science experience, with expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS. Additionally, you will have experience working with large data sets and developing business cases for data science-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead data science projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion
* Collaborate with data engineers, ML engineers, and IT teams to design and implement data pipelines and models
* Develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver value-added solutions
* Mentor and train junior data scientists and analysts to improve their skills and knowledge
Requirements
* PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., data science, physics, computer science, math, engineering, statistics)
* 7+ years of data science experience, with expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS
* Experience working with large data sets and developing business cases for data science-related projects
* Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with software development processes, including Dev/QA/prod, release cycles, Continuous Improvement/Continuous Development, source control, code reviews, etc.
* Experience with IoT and streaming data analytics
* Expertise in Machine Learning, particularly in auto or related industries (e.g., image, speech, pattern recognition & anomaly detection)
* Experience operating and deploying models in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure), collaborating with IT, Data Engineers, ML Engineers
