Key Responsibilities:
Assume leadership of the center in the absence of the Administrator.
Implement policies and procedures while supervising staff to ensure compliance; collaborate closely with the Medical Director, Health Department, C.D.C., and others to maintain current best practices; recommend necessary changes to regional office policies and procedures.
Assist in preparing the departmental budget and manage the approved budget effectively.
Recruit, select, mentor, discipline, and terminate Nursing Department staff; ensure proper scheduling of Nursing Department personnel; develop efficient workflows; conduct timely performance evaluations for nursing staff.
Analyze and assess nursing and related services to enhance the quality of resident care and optimize staff utilization.
Ensure positive outcomes for residents; develop systems and schedules that respect residents' lifestyles and help them achieve their highest potential; conduct daily rounds and follow up on each shift to ensure any changes in resident status are documented and addressed.
Qualifications:
Current R.N. License from the State Board of Nursing is required, along with demonstrated managerial and administrative capabilities.
Experience in long-term care or with the geriatric population is preferred.
A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is necessary.
Strong organizational and planning skills to assign personnel for effective nursing services.
Ability to evaluate reports, programs, and other data against both subjective and objective criteria.
