Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at Community Action Corporation of South Texas. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Scheduling: Schedule appointments for patients, manage patient waitlists, and ensure timely and efficient scheduling.
  • Registration and Check-In: Complete patient registration, verify insurance, and collect co-payments.
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, responding to patient inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external partners to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in medical terminology and office software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English language skills preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS) preferred.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced medical office environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide exceptional patient care and administrative support.
