General Overview

  • Upholding the confidentiality of patient records
Main Duties
  • Engaging professionally with patients, visitors, and colleagues
  • Completing the registration process for patient appointments
  • Coordinating patient appointments and explaining payment procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Participating in staff meetings
  • Managing office supplies and equipment
  • Collecting and recording patient payments
  • Resolving billing discrepancies
  • Maintaining the cash drawer and reconciling receipts
  • Processing medical documentation
  • Performing additional responsibilities as required
Experience Requirements
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, and HMO billing is preferred
Education/Certifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with Practice Management Systems (PMS) and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Capability to work collaboratively with others
