Healthcare Reception Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to support our healthcare facility. Below are the key details of the role:
General Overview- Greeting and scheduling patients and visitors
- Overseeing the patient appointment management system
- Handling incoming calls and processing patient co-payments
- Upholding the confidentiality of patient records
- Engaging professionally with patients, visitors, and colleagues
- Completing the registration process for patient appointments
- Coordinating patient appointments and explaining payment procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Participating in staff meetings
- Managing office supplies and equipment
- Collecting and recording patient payments
- Resolving billing discrepancies
- Maintaining the cash drawer and reconciling receipts
- Processing medical documentation
- Performing additional responsibilities as required
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, and HMO billing is preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with Practice Management Systems (PMS) and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
- Capability to work collaboratively with others
A physical examination will be required prior to employment.
