Production Supervisor Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct production staff to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to team members.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a positive attitude and a 'can-do' spirit.
  • Conduct team meetings to communicate performance metrics and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and train employees to work safely.
  • Administer production policies and procedures, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Monitor and improve inventory management, reducing waste and optimizing processes.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions to address gaps in performance.
  • Provide support in hiring, performance management, transfers, promotions, and discipline.
  • Maintain high visibility and access to associates throughout the shift.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of manufacturing experience, with proven leadership skills.
  • Personnel management experience, preferably in a vehicle assembly line environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
