Job Overview

Position Summary: The role entails overseeing the operations of the teller line within the branch, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include managing teller training, maintaining accurate cash and transaction records, and reconciling ATM operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Teller Line Management: Supervise daily teller operations to uphold high standards of customer service and accuracy. Allocate work assignments, manage schedules, and monitor attendance. Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant banking regulations and internal policies.
  • Achieve established performance objectives for the teller line.

Teller Training: Facilitate training for new tellers and provide ongoing support to ensure proficiency in transaction processing and customer service.

Branch Operations: Responsible for opening and closing the branch, assisting with customer transactions, and maintaining accurate records of signatory authorities and cash management.

Monitor branch cash flow and assist with cash verification and settlement procedures, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.

ATM Management: Conduct daily ATM cash and transaction settlements, ensuring accurate records and resolving any operational issues as needed.

Customer Service: Deliver prompt and courteous service to customers, processing various transactions in accordance with established procedures.

Support for Bank Products: Maintain knowledge of bank offerings and actively engage with customers to identify their needs and recommend appropriate products and services.

Community Engagement: Participate in community events and represent the bank positively within the community.

Additional Duties: Exhibit reliable attendance and punctuality, assist with staff meetings, and engage in training opportunities to enhance skills relevant to the position.

Reporting Structure:

  • Supervise Customer Service Representatives and Tellers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a teller or supervisory role.
  • Familiarity with teller and ATM processing systems.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift cash boxes weighing approximately 20 pounds.
  • Capable of standing or sitting for extended periods while assisting customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
