- Maintaining composure and providing guidance during emergency situations, ensuring a calming presence on the nursing unit.
Workload Management:
- Timely posting of EKG strips on a regular basis.
- Completing all assigned tasks efficiently.
- Adapting to fluctuations in patient census and staffing levels, utilizing time effectively.
- Engaging in quality improvement initiatives as indicated by performance metrics.
- Ensuring all daily clerical tasks are completed by the end of the shift without compromising quality.
- Performing effectively in emergency situations under the supervision of registered nurses, demonstrating knowledge of emergency protocols.
- Exhibiting a collaborative spirit by assisting with necessary tasks and being willing to extend shifts when required.
Knowledge of Policies and Procedures:
- Possessing a thorough understanding of EKG rhythms, both normal and abnormal.
- Being aware of responsibilities during a cardiac emergency.
- Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of EKG monitoring and telemetry systems.
