KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare professionals during treatments.
2. Conduct triage and accurately record vital signs.
3. Gather and document patient histories in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in a timely manner.
4. Collect and maintain all patient-related documents while ensuring confidentiality.
5. Perform routine laboratory specimen collection, including phlebotomy and urinalysis.
6. Administer medications and non-intravenous injections as directed.
7. Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting when necessary.
8. Carry out various clinical and basic laboratory procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
9. Document all medical interventions accurately within the EMR.
10. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality assurance programs.
11. Uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards at all times.
12. Perform general administrative duties and operate medical office equipment as required.
13. Travel to different locations as needed based on staffing requirements.
14. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Completion of a Medical Assistant, LPN, EMT, RN, or X-Ray Technology program from an accredited institution.
2. A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in urgent care or emergency services.
3. Willingness to train recent graduates who demonstrate exceptional potential.
4. Proficiency in venipuncture and administering injections.
5. Strong understanding of clinical procedures, medical terminology, and anatomy.
