Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Stanford Health Care. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing pharmaceutical services to our patients, working under the close supervision of a pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter patient medication orders into the pharmacy computer system
  • Operate automated compounding and dispensing machines for preparation and storage of medications
  • Maintain medication inventory and place stock replacement orders
  • Prepare, compound, and label intravenous admixtures, cancer chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition patient-specific doses using strict aseptic technique
  • Prepare, package, compound, and label non-sterile drug products for specific patients with appropriate final pharmacist checks
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Six (6) months of progressively responsible and directly related work experience, or Pharmacy Technician Externship performed at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, Department of Pharmacy

  • Ability to work with devices, information systems, automated, and technical equipment utilized in pharmacy
