Job Overview:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees case evaluations and formulates current and future treatment strategies, including aftercare plans for clients concluding their treatment, based on quantitative assessments and professional insights regarding client advancement. Actively participates in team meetings, treatment strategy sessions, case discussions, and clinical workshops, contributing valuable information related to program management and enhancement. Exhibits leadership by guiding or providing clinical oversight to clinical personnel and acting as a clinical reference. Reviews and cosigns billing documentation within the agency's designated timelines. Engages with clients and provides counseling services during client emergencies.

POTENTIAL ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivers clinical services encompassing a range of therapeutic programs and methodologies such as group and individual therapy, family and marital counseling, expressive therapy, crisis intervention, and management, psychodrama, and problem-solving techniques. Maintains and finalizes service documentation including billing supervision notes, co-signatures on service records, psychosocial evaluations, case notes, case assessments, court documentation, correspondence, etc., adhering to established standards.

The purpose of this job overview is to provide a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities performed by individuals in this role. Individuals may be requested to undertake job-related tasks beyond those specifically outlined in this overview.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related social services field with certification or licensure in the area of specialization and an independent license from the appropriate Kentucky Board (e.g., LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LPAT).
  • Adherence to Kentucky board statutes, laws, and regulations regarding clinical practices.
  • Maintain an active license with the relevant Kentucky Board throughout employment with Seven Counties Services.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Four to six years of direct experience in social work or mental health counseling, including four years of post-master's clinical social work/mental health counseling.
  • Advanced understanding of the mental and physical characteristics of the relevant population (e.g., growth and development and range of treatment required), psychotherapy, human behavior, and associated issues and community resources.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Potential to assume supervisory and leadership roles.
  • Capability to manage a caseload with varying levels of client needs and disabilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • This position may involve some unusual physical demands, including occasional exposure to potential threats of bodily harm from clients or their families.
  • Normal job tasks may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissue.
  • This position may occasionally require the individual to be on-call twenty-four hours.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary for frequent travel between work locations.
