Job Title: Senior Manager, SEC Reporting

Fortrea is seeking a Senior Manager, SEC Reporting to join our team. As a leading global contract research organization, we provide pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device customers with a wide range of clinical development, patient access, and technology solutions across more than 20 therapeutic areas.

The successful candidate will have experience in SEC reporting and a strong technical accounting background in US GAAP and SOX compliance. Key responsibilities will include driving best practices for external reporting, managing the drafting, preparation, and financial statement review of quarterly filings, and assisting with technical accounting research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive best practices for external reporting
  • Manage the drafting, preparation, and financial statement review of quarterly filings
  • Assist with technical accounting research and analysis
  • Support data needed for earnings releases and other investor communications
  • Support accounting for all equity-based transactions
  • Assist with evaluating and managing accounting and operating system capabilities
  • Lead various process improvement initiatives
  • Assist in special accounting and finance projects
  • Collaborate with FP&A to prepare commentary or explanations
  • Supervise, manage, and develop accounting staff
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or higher degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in financial accounting, SEC reporting, technical accounting, and/or public accounting
  • Experience with SEC reporting and technical accounting in a corporate environment a plus
  • CPA and Big Four/National Accounting Firm experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience researching and documenting accounting guidance
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues and problem-solve
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated professional commitment and integrity
