Position Overview:

The Non-Tipped Wait Staff will deliver prompt and courteous service to all guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role is essential for various events, adapting to the specific needs of each occasion.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Non-Tipped Wait Staff include, but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming and seating guests with a friendly demeanor.
  • Presenting menus and providing detailed information about food and beverage options.
  • Serving meals to guests at designated tables while adhering to proper etiquette.
  • Offering meal and drink recommendations and addressing inquiries regarding food preparation.
  • Recording orders accurately and relaying them to the kitchen staff.
  • Processing payments and directing guests to the cashier when necessary.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and assisting in the clearing and resetting of tables.
  • Occasionally preparing and serving specialty dishes.
  • Transporting supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Assisting in food preparation and proper food storage.
  • Handling customer feedback and resolving any service-related issues.
  • Operating dishwashing equipment and assisting with cleaning kitchenware.
  • Supporting inventory management by restocking food supplies.
  • Adhering to all safety and security protocols, reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions to management.
  • Complying with food safety regulations and attending relevant training sessions.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 0 to 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
Skills:
  • Professional demeanor and strong ethical standards.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Active listening skills to accurately take orders and provide recommendations.
  • Ability to give clear instructions and respond to team needs.
Certifications: None required.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Capability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds regularly, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
