Job Summary

UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team as a Rehabilitation Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and reassess patients to identify their individual needs and develop a comprehensive plan of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal recovery and independence.
  • Conduct timely and accurate quality improvement assessments to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
  • IV Certified required or obtained within 6 months highly preferred.
  • Minimum six months Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
