Job Summary

UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional patient care, considering the needs of geriatric and general inpatient rehabilitation patients.
  • Assess and reassess patients, identifying and initiating appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions under the supervision of the R.N.
  • Perform timely and accurate QI assessments, updating the interdisciplinary care plan accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the patient and family to develop a personalized plan of care.
  • Utilize effective pain management techniques and educate patients and families on pain management.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification, with ACLS preferred.
  • IV Certified, with certification obtained within 6 months highly preferred.
  • Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
