This role is pivotal in overseeing and directing all facets of food production within the hotel, ensuring that we maintain exceptional standards in food and beverage operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination, supervision, and management of all culinary activities.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality food products and services while optimizing profitability.
- Provide comprehensive training and development for kitchen staff to uphold corporate quality standards.
- Implement and enforce food specifications, portion control, and sanitation protocols.
- Monitor and control food and labor costs to maximize guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- A culinary degree (2-year, 3-year, or 4-year) with a minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a hospitality environment.
- Previous supervisory experience is essential.
- Thorough knowledge of food preparation techniques, health regulations, and liquor laws.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work long hours and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently.
General Expectations:
- Maintain a warm and approachable demeanor at all times.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and guests in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
- Adhere to company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
Fundamental Duties:
- Collaborate with other food and beverage managers to address operational issues.
- Keep management informed of any significant matters requiring attention.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Respond promptly to guest feedback and complaints.
- Assist in menu creation and the development of culinary offerings.
