Culinary Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Food & Beverage Manager to lead our hotel bar and restaurant team. As a creative leader, you will be responsible for creating innovative menus, ensuring health and safety requirements are followed, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Our ideal candidate has experience as a chef or sous chef and possesses strong leadership skills, with the ability to hire and develop exceptional talent. They will be responsible for controlling department costs, working with vendors to get the best products at a cost-effective price, and recruiting, training, and leading all kitchen personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incorporate different ingredients in a creative way to produce fresh and innovative menu items and specials
- Coordinate all kitchen food preparation, including processes, portioning, garnishing, and ensure that all meals and dishes are presented elegantly
- Control department costs that are under your management, such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment, and work with vendors to get the best products at a cost-effective price
- Be responsible for the overall success of the daily culinary operations, with an emphasis on surpassing guest expectations while driving revenue and profit
- Recruit, train, and lead all kitchen personnel while instilling a sense of teamwork through positive feedback, mentoring, and support
Requirements:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
- Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading, motivating, and developing a team
- Must have 3-4 years of culinary experience for this role in addition to food & beverage management experience
Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 yearly
