Responsibilities

Are you seeking a role where you can leverage your development, engineering, and communication skills to make a significant impact in the government sector? As a Systems Engineer, you will provide essential technical guidance and oversight for the customer's Integration, Verification, Validation & Test (IVV&T) functions.

This position supports a Joint customer Program Office tasked with acquiring the future GEOINT Ground Architecture, designed to deliver modular, open architecture capabilities that ensure global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity-based intelligence information. The role operates within a hybrid agile framework, with the Government acting as the overall integrator, utilizing a range of commercial and custom tools.

As a Systems Engineer Technical Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and directing SE&I across all customer program office IVV&T activities, encompassing test planning, scheduling, integration, cross-program coordination for verification, test case analysis, test witnessing, and applying automated testing concepts.
  • Synthesizing customer needs, requirements, and technical, schedule, and cost constraints into actionable recommendations and solutions for integrating, testing, evaluating, and transitioning systems into operational status.
  • Creating, reviewing, analyzing, and coordinating a variety of artifacts, strategies, plans, schedules, risks, and requirements traceability documents.
  • Assisting in the planning, management, review, execution, and enhancement of related enterprise and component-level SE&I agile processes.
  • Conducting assessments and consultations on various mission, domain area, and technical products and activities as required.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience, Master's degree with 6-8 years, or PhD with 3-5 years.
  • Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
  • Experience in government or industry relevant to SE&I, including IVV&T, encompassing the IC acquisition and requirements processes.
  • Proficient in authoring, reviewing, and coordinating technical documentation, including Request For Change (RFCs) and test plans.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the systems engineering life cycle, governance processes, and project management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with mission partners and stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong customer collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and work within cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills.
  • Organizational skills to manage a diverse range of tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Atlassian Jira, and Confluence.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with TestRail or Zephyr testing tools.
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira Roadmaps.
