As a Referral Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication between our clinic and external specialists, facilitating timely referrals and appointments for our patients.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Referral Processing: Gather and verify patient information, process referrals, and ensure timely submission to external specialists.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule appointments with specialists, communicate with patients and providers, and coordinate follow-up care.
- Communication and Coordination: Respond to provider inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain open communication with clinical staff and external specialists.
- Prior Authorization and Documentation: Complete prior authorizations for procedures and medications, and document referral information in our electronic health record.
**Requirements:**
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: One year of office experience preferred, but not required.
- Skills: Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in computer applications.
