Job Summary

We are seeking a Medication Technician who will provide excellent hands-on care to our residents daily. The incumbent will deliver timely medication, observe, document, and report resident status. Additionally, the Medication Technician will ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our residents in accordance with company procedures and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver timely medication to residents
  • Observe and document resident status
  • Report any changes in resident health or emotional well-being to supervisor
  • Assist with ADLs, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry while encouraging resident independence
  • Speak to/interact with residents at all levels of care constantly, while showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents at all times
  • Perform daily general housekeeping duties following established cleaning schedules
  • Ensure and support a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates
  • Communicate effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding
  • Ensure residents and/or responsible parties sign residents out when they leave the community
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) certification
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
